Berrow 2000 Daily Report: Saturday 23rd September
Welcome Evening
Saturday night was Welcome Evening in the Embelle marquee.
This was a chance for the British Buggy Club organisers to introduce
themselves to all the members, both new and old, and have a bit of fun
at the same time.
The 100 foot marquee was packed with people, and the first
Slow-Bo award was presented to Mike Shaw for his kite-jumping mishap.
This year's award is a "Barney" electronic sing-along karaoke
book, which the Slow-Bo has to sing along to, on request (in exchange
for being bought a beer!)
There was a competition for the people who had never been
to Berrow before, which was to put a Tunnock's Caramel bar sideways
in your mouth, and eat it without chewing. It caused much amusement
and certainly broke the ice!
