Berrow '99 Daily Report

Day 1: Saturday 18th September 1999

Well, here we are at Berrow 99 - and it's pouring with rain and blowing a gale! Nevertheless, there have still been lots of buggiers on the beach today, getting covered in mud and sand but still having a great time!

More than 100 buggiers have already registered for the event, lots more are expected during the rest of the week. For those of you coming along the motorways, be warned that there are major roadworks on both the M4 (near the junction with the M25) and the M5, between junctions 16 and 21. If you can avoid these sections of motorway, do so - they are both causing major congestion (especially the M5).

(As I write this, there must be lightning nearby as the lights keep flickering in the caravan we are in !!)

Because of all the rain, the marquee was flooded! To get to and from the doorway you had to traipse through puddles - not much fun unless you were wearing wellies! (see below)

Anyway here are today's photos, this is what you are missing... you can click on each photo to get a large version.
