Brothers Doug & Chris Woods started out in 1989 with a stall in the Queensway Hall on Saturdays, before moving to the Bakery in Great Northern Road, Dunstable, in 1992. In February 2004, Dunstable Kites moved to their current location which has plenty of space and a nearby flying field so that customers can try before they buy. They also operate a mail-order service and trade at numerous kite festivals throughout the year. Doug and Chris are also helped in the shop and at festivals by Joe Brown. |

There is always a large range of kites in stock, from children's single line kites to traction kites, buggies and mountainboards, as well as spares and accessories. Advice is free! Dunstable Kites are involved with kites in a big way. They organise the popular Dunstable Downs Kite Festival on Dunstable Downs as well as the Royston Kite Festival each year. In 2001 they paid for Ray Bethell to fly over to the UK to attend the Sunderland International Kite Festival and they also sponsor local kite flying teams and flyers. |

New Products for 2004 include Didakites' Jocko entry level sport kite, and the Peak - a 'next level' trick kite with high aspect ratio. And what about these cute teddy bears which actually fly as a kite. Aww!... |
