Flying Techniques
Easter Eggs

The time has finally come and publicly confess to what some of you have already discovered - yes we did bury a small number of 'Easter Eggs' into Flying Techniques...

Easter Egg No. 1:

This is the main Easter Egg and the easiest to find. In the "Extras..." section of Flying Techniques scroll down through the list. As you navigate between the "Carl Robertshaw & Matrix (2002 Trailer)" button and the "Main Menu" a smiley face appears. Select it and the Easter Egg starts to play.

This is a three-minute collection of outtakes from Flying Techniques.

When Flying Techniques was in post-production the outtakes section was completed early on. As the editing process became hard going, we would play the outtakes to ourselves. Each time we watched them it would make us laugh. It helped to keep us going and reminded us why it was all worthwhile.

Easter Egg No. 2:

Navigate to the first Easter Egg as described above. Rather than select it, press the 'Left' button instead. The smiley face will disappear. However, if you now press 'Select', the second Easter Egg will start to play.

During the preview screening when James, Carl & Andy watched the finished version of Flying Techniques for the first time, we took them through the whole video but didn't tell them about the outtakes. At the end they naturally asked about outtakes. We tried our best to convince them that they were so good that there simply weren't any, but they didn't believe us.

Finally we confessed, 'OK, there are outtakes but you have to let us film you whilst you watch them'. Reluctantly they agreed and as the camera rolled 'shyness' took over and they tried to hide their faces...

So in this Easter Egg you are seeing James, Carl & Andy watching their very own outtakes for the first time. The 'background projection' was added in later so you could see what they were watching.

The music playing during both sets of outtakes is Baby Sweet, that much beloved whistling tune played throughout 2004 at various UK kite festivals, and which is now also available to download as a free MP3 and monophonic midi ringtone.

Easter Egg No. 3:

Navigate to the first Easter Egg as described above. Rather than select it, press the 'Right' button instead. The smiley face will disappear. However, if you now press 'Select', the third Easter Egg will start to play.

This is an audio only Easter Egg (no video). It's the music 'Shocked but Not Surprised' from the opening introductory section.

Easter Egg No. 4:

Since its release, we've been approached by people who have found the fourth Easter Egg.

There is no fourth Easter Egg.

Honestly guys, if there was a fourth Easter Egg we'd tell you, wouldn't we? :-)
